Between £9,000 and £17,000 one way, a flight of approximately 2h20. It is the most expensive Corsican airport from London as it is the furthest. In July–August, prices can reach £22,000 to £30,000 due to total slot saturation at FSC. Book your slots 8 to 12 weeks in advance for high season.
Figari (FSC) is clearly superior for Porto-Vecchio and Bonifacio — it is 20 min from Porto-Vecchio versus 2h15 from Ajaccio. For Propriano and Sartène (Domaine de Murtoli), both are comparable — 50 min from FSC vs 1h15 from AJA. For the wild south, FSC is the reference airport.
The Golfe de Porto-Vecchio is one of the most exclusive superyacht anchorages in the Mediterranean. The standard combination: jet to FSC, transfer by car or helicopter (10 min) to Porto-Vecchio harbour, then tender to the superyacht. Specialist Corsican operators coordinate the entire service (jet + transfer + tender + yacht provisioning).
Palombaggia is regularly ranked among the 10 most beautiful beaches in Europe — ultra-fine white sand, umbrella pines leaning over the sea, turquoise water with 4 to 15 metres of clarity. In September (after the tourist peak), the beach regains its calm and original magic. Avoid 10am–5pm from mid-July to mid-August — the beach becomes inaccessible by car.
Casadelmar (5-star, above the Golfe de Porto-Vecchio) is an absolute benchmark — contemporary architecture in harmony with the maquis, infinity pool over the sea, gastronomic restaurant with a view. Domaine de Murtoli (Sartène) is more exclusive and more discreet — a 2,300 ha estate with a private bergerie, exclusive beach and diving in the Réserve des Bouches de Bonifacio.
Absolutely — Bonifacio is one of the most dramatic sites in France: a Genoese medieval citadel perched 70 m above white limestone cliffs, overlooking the Bouches de Bonifacio with views across to Sardinia. At 25 min from FSC by car, it is a must-see excursion. The sea caves (Grotte du Sdragonato with its Corsica-shaped opening) can be visited by boat from the harbour.
