Book your private jet flight to Courchevel
Courchevel is the world’s most prestigious ski resort — and its altiport (CVF), perched at 2,008 metres altitude with an uphill runway gradient of 18.5%, is one of the most spectacular landings in private aviation. Only pilots certified for the Courchevel altiport may land there — a demanding qualification that guarantees an elite level of service. In winter (December–April), dozens of light jets land each week to deliver their passengers directly to the foot of the slopes.
flight_takeoffBook a flightThe clientele of Courchevel 1850 is among the wealthiest in Europe: owners of 2,000 m² chalets in the Jardin Alpin, Gulf royal families present in January–February, oligarchs installed in the private residences of the Chenus, and new tech fortunes from around the world. The Les Airelles hotel (medieval château style, 6 stars), Aman Le Mélézin and K2 Palace are the three absolute benchmarks. The restaurant Le 1947 by Yannick Alléno (3 stars, inside Les Airelles) is the highest Michelin-starred restaurant in France.
The Courchevel altiport is open from mid-December to mid-April, subject to snow conditions. Outside the winter period, access is via Chambéry airport (1h30 by road) or Grenoble (2h). In summer, Courchevel offers hiking, mountain biking and high-altitude golf — with a growing clientele between July and September.

All your questions about private jets to Courchevel
Yes — altiport CVF at 2,008 m welcomes light jets (Phenom 300E, Citation CJ4, PC-12) whose pilots hold the certification for this uphill runway with an 18.5% gradient. Not all pilots hold this qualification — check with your operator. Midsize jets (Citation XLS+) are generally too heavy for the short runway (537 m usable on landing).
Between £5,400 and £10,000 one way (1h15 in a Phenom 300E or Citation CJ4). In peak ski season (Christmas, New Year, February half-term), prices can reach £13,500 to £18,000. Book 6 to 10 weeks ahead during French and Russian school holidays — demand outstrips supply.
No — the Courchevel altiport is open only during the winter season (mid-December to mid-April, subject to snow conditions). In summer, jet access is via Chambéry-Savoie (CMF) 1h30 by road, Grenoble-Isère (GNB) 2h, or Lyon-Saint-Exupéry (LYS) 2h30.
Aircraft certified for CVF include: Pilatus PC-12, Phenom 100/300E, Citation CJ2/CJ3/CJ4, TBM 940 and some King Air variants. The Citation XLS+ and heavier aircraft generally exceed the maximum take-off weight for this short high-altitude runway. Your operator will confirm feasibility based on the aircraft, payload and the day's weather conditions.
Book the chalet or hotel first (Les Airelles is full 12 months in advance for Christmas). Then contact your operator to secure the aircraft and a CVF slot — in high season, the altiport enforces strict time slots. Plan a backup option (Chambéry + transfer) in case of adverse weather at CVF (fog, strong winds).
From Geneva (GVA), a direct flight to CVF is possible in under an hour by light jet. From Zurich (ZRH), allow 1h15 of flying time. Both routes are very popular with Swiss clients and foreign residents based in Switzerland. Geneva is the best repositioning base if CVF is closed for weather — with a 2h15 road transfer.
