Book your private jet flight to Bastia
Bastia is the economic capital of Haute-Corse and the northern gateway to the island — a stone’s throw from Cap Corse, the Balagne and Saint-Florent. Bastia-Poretta Airport (BIA) is Corsica’s busiest airport by traffic and has a general aviation terminal, 20 minutes from the Old Port of Bastia. By private jet, Bastia is 1h45 from Paris, 50 minutes from Nice and 1h05 from Rome.
flight_takeoffBook a flightThe private jet clientele at Bastia includes owners of prestigious second homes on Cap Corse (terraced vineyards, seafront estates), sailing enthusiasts whose yachts anchor in the coves of Saint-Florent and Centuri, and Corsican industrialists based in Haute-Corse. Île Rousse and the Balagne — renowned for its centuries-old olive trees, polyphonic music and white sandy coves — are 1 hour by road from BIA.
Northern Corsica holds some of the island’s most breathtaking scenery: the Désert des Agriates (wild coastline accessible only on foot or by boat), the beaches of Ostriconi and Saleccia (immaculate white sand, accessible by 4×4 or by boat from Saint-Florent), the cliff road of Cap Corse and its villages overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. Bastia’s gastronomy blends Corsican tradition with Italian influence — Bastia was long under Genoese rule.

All your questions about private jets to Bastia
Between £8,500 and £16,000 one way, a flight of approximately 2h10. Bastia is slightly more expensive than Ajaccio from London due to the greater distance. In high season (July–August), expect a surcharge of 30 to 50% — book your BIA slots at least 6 weeks in advance.
Bastia (BIA) is the gateway to the north of the island: Cap Corse, Balagne, Saint-Florent, Île Rousse — greener landscapes, Italian influence, sailing and hiking. Ajaccio (AJA) is the gateway to the centre and south: Golfe d'Ajaccio, Porticcio, western coast — wilder, more secluded beaches. For a full circuit, both airports can be combined in one week.
Saleccia is a beach of immaculate white sand accessible only by boat (25 min from Saint-Florent, 55 km from BIA) or by 4×4 along the Désert des Agriates track (2h). The combination of a jet to BIA + car to Saint-Florent + private speedboat is the most comfortable approach. A helicopter from BIA can reach it in 15 minutes (beach landing subject to weather).
Bastia is only 80 km from Sardinia (northern coast, Costa Smeralda). A light jet makes the crossing in 20 minutes. A helicopter in 25 minutes. This proximity allows Corsica + Sardinia combinations for yachtsmen calling on both sides of the Strait of Bonifacio. Olbia Airport (OLB) is the gateway to the Costa Smeralda.
Saint-Florent is one of the finest anchorages in the Mediterranean — surrounded by green hills, with a Genoese medieval town and direct access to the beaches of the Désert des Agriates. Superyachts anchor there from May to September. The Capitainerie has berths for vessels up to 30 m — beyond that, vessels anchor offshore. The journey from BIA takes 50 minutes by car.
Yes — Corsican polyphony (multi-voice singing without accompaniment) is a unique musical form inscribed on the UNESCO heritage list. The Balagne (Pigna, Île Rousse) is the birthplace of this tradition. Concerts are held in villages every summer. The group A Filetta is the world authority on the genre — their concerts at the Bastia Citadel in August are sought-after events.
