Cannes-Mandelieu (CEQ) is ideal for light jets (Phenom 300E, Citation CJ4, PC-24) — 1,760 m runway, 5 minutes from La Croisette, no commercial traffic. For midsize jets (Citation XLS+) and larger aircraft, Nice Côte d'Azur (NCE) is required, with its long runways and dedicated FBOs. During the Festival, both airports are saturated — book early.
In normal periods: £5,000 to £10,000. During the Cannes Film Festival (two weeks in May), prices can reach £15,000 to £24,000 due to slot saturation and exceptional demand. Empty-leg returns to Paris can be found at very competitive rates — ask your broker.
Your charter operator coordinates arrival at CEQ or NCE with a tender or speedboat from the Quai Laubeuf or Port Canto. For superyachts anchored offshore, a helicopter from NCE can reach the deck in 10 minutes. This jet + helicopter + yacht coordination is a standard service offered by the main operators on the Côte d'Azur.
The Cannes-Mandelieu runway is 1,760 m, which is marginal for a fully loaded Legacy 500 depending on wind and temperature conditions. In summer (hot runway), some operators prefer NCE as a precaution. Always check aircraft performance on the specific runway with your pilot — that is their operational responsibility.
Cannes offers the densest five-star hotel infrastructure (Martinez, Carlton, Majestic) and professional events (the Festival, MIPIM).
