Tenuta San Guido (Bolgheri — producer of Sassicaia) is 1h30 from PSA. Visits are rare and very selective — book via your wine broker or Sassicaia importer several months in advance. Ornellaia (Ornellaia, Masseto — labels from the same Bolgheri terroir) is more open to partner visits.
Florence (FLR) is superior for museums, starred gastronomy, and the Chianti. Pisa (PSA) is superior for the Versilia (Forte dei Marmi), the Super Tuscans of Bolgheri, and the Cinque Terre. For a combined culture + beach weekend, land at Pisa and make your way to Florence via Lucca — it is a magnificent drive.
La Spezia (gateway to the Cinque Terre) is 1 hour by road from PSA. From La Spezia, a boat serves Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, and Monterosso in 30–50 minutes.
