Jet privé Dubai - Maldives
Your flight Dubai - Maldives
Dubai–Maldives is one of the classic routes in Middle Eastern private aviation. 2,800 km of Indian Ocean separates the FBOs at Dubai International (DXB) from Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé. In 3h45 aboard a Falcon 2000LXS or a Gulfstream G650, you transition from the ultra-modern concrete of the Persian Gulf to the white coral atolls of the Maldives — two worlds, one cabin.
flight_takeoffBook a flightMany luxury travellers combine Dubai and the Maldives in a single transit stop: arrival at DXB from Europe or Asia, an overnight stay at the BVLGARI Resort or One&Only, then departure for the Maldives the following morning. This Dubai–Maldives multi-leg itinerary is particularly popular in December and January (New Year festivities across the atolls). The 2,800 km distance is well within reach for mid-range jets such as the Falcon 2000LXS (7,200 km range) or the Challenger 604.
On arrival in Malé, the transfer to your resort is by seaplane or speedboat depending on the atoll. Joali Being (Muravandhoo), Soneva Jani (Noonu Atoll) and Cheval Blanc Randheli are accessible by seaplane from Malé in 30 to 45 minutes. These ultra-exclusive resorts can be entirely privatised for groups ranging from a single villa to the whole island. Your charter broker coordinates the private jet plus seaplane charter for a seamless door-to-villa journey.

All your questions about the flight Dubai – Maldives
Between 42,000 € and 78,000 € one way. The Falcon 2000LXS at 42,000 € is the most popular choice for groups of 8 to 10 passengers. The G650 at 65,000 € offers more cabin space and greater comfort for larger groups or longer seaplane connections.
Dubai and the Maldives are only 3h45 apart by private jet — close enough to combine in a luxurious 10-day itinerary: 3 nights in Dubai (shopping, fine dining, desert safari), then on to the Maldives for a week of bliss in an overwater villa. A Dubai stopover also works as a technical refuelling point for aircraft arriving from Europe.
Most mid-range and long-range jets easily cover the 2,800 km: Falcon 2000LXS, Challenger 604, G450, G650, Global 7500. Even midsize jets such as the Citation Sovereign or the Legacy 500 have sufficient range for this route at full passenger load.
North Malé Atoll (Coco Privé, Four Seasons Kuda Huraa) is the closest — 20 minutes by speedboat. Baa Atoll (Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru, Joali) offers the finest diving as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Noonu Atoll (Soneva Jani) is remote and magical. Lhaviyani (Kuredu, Kanuhura) is the reference for water sports.
Seaplanes (Twin Otter, Cessna Caravan) operate only in daylight (7 am–5 pm), cover distances of up to 250 km, and offer breathtaking aerial views over the atolls. Speedboats operate 24 hours a day for resorts close to Malé (within 40 km). For remote atolls, the seaplane is the only practical option. Arriving in Malé before 4 pm is essential if a seaplane transfer is needed.
A growing number of atolls have their own domestic airstrips (Maafaru, Dharavandhoo, Ifuru) accessible to smaller aircraft. Maafaru International Airport (NMF) in Noonu Atoll can accommodate small jets — it is the gateway to Soneva Jani and the surrounding luxury resorts, eliminating the seaplane leg entirely.
